Arthur’s specialty and first love is black and grey realism. Coming from a background of charcoal drawing and oil dry brush, black and grey was just a natural fit as he developed his tattooing repertoire. Here is a collection of black and grey pieces created by Arthur, along with works in varying other styles

Art

Arthur has created works in several mediums, he began drawing with a sheet of printer paper and a number 2 pencil. This developed into graphite art pencils for a time. At the age of 29, Arthur completed his first charcoal piece. After working on a handful of charcoal drawings he decided to try his hand at painting. At 30, he attempted his first acrylic painting. It was a failure but he persisted. Eventually doing his first oil painting using a dry brush technique. He bounced between full color oil paintings and dry brush oil paintings until taking on his most challenging and rewarding artistic medium yet, tattooing.
